eCPM-Effective Cost Per impressions in thousands

Any publishers who has been getting a valuable amount of revenue from Adsense would advocate that at some point of time he tried to rise the eCPM value for his website. So some of you who aren't aware of the term.I will just do the basics and hint on how to improve that.

The effective cost-per-thousand impressions (eCPM) is a useful way to compare revenue across different channels and advertising programs. It is calculated by dividing total earnings by the number of impressions in thousands. For example:

One of the best ways to improve the eCPM value is to see that the ads appearing on your site or blog are not of those of the MFA sites.I have published the list of MFA sites.Google has been trying to ban all the sites that list in those category. It is best on your side to add the sites to your competitive filter.

The next technique to increase the eCPM is to make your Adsense ads more and more visible. For this I dont think there is specific idea or formula but try making your ads embeded well in the content and bring them near the header of the web page.At urbanread we place our partner ads below the title and its the exact space where they are more visible.

Urbanread is colorfull

In the space of web design the colors on your website or blog definitely help the owners to express the thought of their mind in a more powerfull way.Colors tend to set the mood of your visitor and they tend to influence the browsing habit of your visitor too.

For some industires the light and more of white colors are the perfect blend and for some the darker colors stand to be the best advantage for your visitor. On the front, the websites main intention is to hold back the visitor attention and increase loyalty. When you spend long hours to write good content for your website please remember to research on what backgrounds are best for your website.

When we tend to make Urbanread better for your blog or site we thoought it would be better
to add colors to it too so go ahead and get the urbanread colored widget.

If you have any comments about urbanread color combination please feel free to tell us here.

The latest on the Adsense is that "Google is happy about the publishers honesty telling them they have accidently clicked on their ads and they answer the question on how to best handle this situation."

The week which passed and Charity Clicks.

The last week was very exciting at urbanread office for two reasons. One the referral system was live and working fine and secondly we got a new tag in the social community as "Adsense Sharing Widget".For this two reasons we were at work and there were some nicely crafted post cards at our desks to greet us for the nice work we were doing.

Anyway Google Adsense team released a new notice against the Charity Clicks.Which means you cannot announce to your blog or site users that the money you earn from Adsense is donated partly or completely to any charity on the other hand you can always donate it silently.

We support push button publishing

One of the new feature on urbanread is allowing our members to add urbanread to their blogger.com blog with just a push of a button. Our engineers sat down to prepare a
document for helping the bloggers around the world to add urbanread widget to their blogs but
unfortunately instead of preparing a document they gave this funtionality. We are pleased with what our colleagues have done and yes we are chasing them ....to prepare the document...Can anybody tell me where is Adam anyway?
